2009 – 2012: BSc in Business Management at The University of Surrey (Exam results to date 2.1. I expect a final grade of 2.1).
2006 – 2008: Varndean College: 3 ‘A’ Levels – ICT (A) Computing (B) Philosophy (C) (300 UCAS points).
2000 – 2005: Longhil High School: 10 GCSEs Including Maths and English (Grades A-C), GNVQ ICT (Distinction)
Employment History
2010 – Present: I am currently working 40 hours a week as a Cleaning Operative alongside studying for my degree. I am responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of 5 Police stations within the Surrey Area, I am self-supervised and I am trusted with the possession of the keys to all the Surrey Police stations.
2009 – 2010: Supervisor for Dusk Nightclub (a Luminar Leisure venue) in Guildford. I was responsible for managing the stock and organising deliveries, I also played a crucial role in marketing the venue and promoting specific events at the Nightclub as well as creating visual displays. I also oversaw all bar staff and floor staff to ensure the venue was running efficiently, assisting the staff were extra help was needed. I also received training inInterview techniques.
2008: IT intern for UBS Investment Bank. I spent 8 weeks in Zurich on a paid Internship helping out a Foreign Exchange web development team. My role was to help debug internal web applications but I was also given my own project of creating dynamic pdf documents using the Java programming language to help the HR department with part of their new recruitment process. I also had the opportunity to spend time on the trading floor talking to traders.
2008: IT work experience at UBS Investment Bank in London. I spent 1 week working with, and learning from professional traders and software developers. They also set me challenging tasks to complete which enhanced my ability to research and learn new skills in a short period of time. I developed skills in C++, Ajax and java script programming.
2005 – 2008: Whilst at college I also had two other jobs, I worked for Tesco’s as a shop assistant and I also worked for Prince Regent Leisure in Brighton as a qualified life guard. Both of these roles improved my customer service skills and my team working abilities.
Skills: IT, HTML, PHP, JAVA, Visual Basic, and Flash Action scripting.
Interests: Web design/development, Health and Fitness, New Technology.
